Weddings, Commitment Ceremonies, and Renewal of Vows
Your wedding day is a landmark
in your life and in your relationship. Create a wedding ceremony
that is as special and unique as you are. We will help you to make
this day your own, and expressive of the distinct union that you
share, through symbolism, ritual, words, and song.
We
assist couples in designing spiritual, multicultural, or nondenominational
wedding ceremonies. Your personalized ceremony will reflect your
own beliefs, and will incorporate the traditions and rituals that
are meaningful to you. It will allow you a sacred time and space
to make a commitment and intention from your heart and from your
deepest self.
We will talk with you to find
out what is most important to and your relationship, collaborate
with you to write the ceremony, rehearse with you, and officiate
at the ceremony. We will find out what makes your relationship
magical, and incorporate that into your wedding ceremony. Each
individual piece of the ceremony will set the intention and create
a symbolic framework for how you would like to experience and move
through your relationship together. Often times, close family members
or friends are included in the planning or ceremony itself, adding
meaning and intimacy to the occasion.
You can make your wedding
ceremony unique by:

- Writing your own vows
- Telling
the personal story of your relationship
- Honoring parents, grandparents, or those who have passed
- Celebrating your heritage or heritages
- Finding new traditions that have meaning to you
- Blessings, prayers, readings and poems from diverse
cultures and traditions
- Creating symbols to be used in the ceremony which will
act as keepsakes for your love, your story, and your union
- Developing a personal mantra for your relationship
- Writing a ketubah, or sacred commitment contract
- Creating a hope chest that you can fill with symbolic
objects of your life together during the ceremony
We can also help you prepare for your special day by facilitating
engagements ceremonies, bridesmaid celebrations, premarital
counseling, and purification ceremonies.
